Phooey!

It's that time of year.  School has started back up.

Summer is about over.  The sunny days of  shorts, flip flops and pool parties is about over.

Phooey.

And the days will get shorter.  It will get darker sooner. Before long it will be the bleak, dreary, cold days of Winter.

Double phooey.

But . . .

 . . . For now, it's still Summer!

Yay!

And between that and Winter is Fall, which is gorgeous!

Double yay!

And then it will be Winter which means . . .

. . . Thanksgiving . . .

 and . . .

. . .  Christmas!

And maybe we'll get some snow this year.

WOO TO THE HOO!

So, er, uh, ahem, like I said . . .

I can't wait for the cozy, snuggly, hot chocolatey, cool boots, coats, sweaters and darting around in the snow in my big-deal-so-it's-snowing-lets-go-for-a-ride-Subaru!!!

But I'll enjoy the sunny weather for all its worth until then.

Busy Little Bee

Life lately has been busy Busy BUSY.  I feel like I've barely had time to sit back and breathe.  Thanksgiving was the first time I felt like I truly decompressed.

It has been off to the races since Thanksgiving.  I had to get together a bunch of products to sell at a booth the next day in downtown Asheville.  Orders for prints and t-shirts suddenly came en masse.  A local gallery needed three different "holes" filled from Doodle Divas sales.  There were requests for commissioned prints.

I was stressing. At one point, I remember thinking I couldn't keep up.  I needed a personal assistant.

NOT!

So I got organized.  I set priorities.  I established boundaries.

And by last night, I had time to do what I LOVE to do - CREATE!  I got several creative things done.  That included two new Doodle Divas and a rough draft of a calendar tear sheet.

It's really for 2013 and has some little sprinkles of "sizzle" that I've yet to add.  (Look closely and you'll see St. Patty's Day diva.):

So you'll hear no complaints from me.  A few months ago, Doodle Divas was just an idea.  Being busy is a GOOD problem to have.  :-)
